Getting from Bali Airport to Medewi
Medewi is a surf village on Bali’s west coast, about 80 km from Ngurah Rai International Airport (DPS). Your driver heads north past Tabanan and then follows the main Denpasar–Gilimanuk road along the coast. The ride usually takes 2.5–3 hours, and up to 3.5 hours when traffic is heavy.
This is a two-lane road shared with trucks and buses heading to the Java ferry at Gilimanuk, so the pace is steady rather than fast. Short stops for an ATM, a SIM card or snacks are included. Surfboards are welcome: tell us how many boards and their length when you book, and we will confirm the right vehicle.
