Denpasar Airport and Bali Airport are the same place
Bali has one international airport: I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport, code DPS. Airlines label it Denpasar, travellers call it Bali Airport. It sits between Kuta and Jimbaran, roughly 13 km south of Denpasar city itself, so most visitors never go into Denpasar at all.

Drive times are for normal traffic. Late afternoon is the slowest part of the day. A few places just outside these areas are priced separately, for example Tegallalang north of Ubud, so send us your hotel name and we will confirm the exact fare.

Bigger cars
The Innova (IDR 850,000), the Hiace van for up to 12 passengers and 10 bags (IDR 1,300,000) and the Alphard (IDR 2,500,000) are charged at one flat rate on every route. That rate is a full-day hire: after the airport pickup, the car and driver stay with you for about 10 hours. If you are a larger group or want to stop on the way, that is usually better value than two small cars. Details are on our private driver page.
Other ways to leave the airport
- The official airport taxi counter. There is one in each arrivals area. You say where you are going, pay a set fare for that zone and are given a driver. The airport taxi cooperative sets these fares and revises them from time to time, so read the board at the counter on the day instead of relying on a number from a website.
- Grab and Gojek. Both have pickup lounges at the terminal. You see the price in the app before you confirm. You need working mobile data when you land, and fewer drivers are around late at night.
- Drivers who approach you in the arrivals hall. There is no fixed fare. If you use one, agree the total price, including parking and tolls, before you walk to the car.
- A pre-booked private transfer. You know the price before you fly and somebody is waiting for you. This is what we do.
Paying and cancelling
Pay the driver in rupiah after drop-off, or pay by Visa or Mastercard on our online booking page. Cancellation is free up to 24 hours before pickup.

Is the taxi price per person or per car?
Per car. One fare covers everyone in your group, up to the capacity of the vehicle.
Are tolls and airport parking extra?
No. Both are included in the fare.
