Getting from Bali Airport to Padang Bai
Padang Bai is a harbour town on Bali’s east coast, about 55 km from Ngurah Rai International Airport (DPS). Your driver takes the Ngurah Rai Bypass and then the Ida Bagus Mantra coastal road. The ride usually takes 1.5–2 hours, and up to 2.5 hours in heavy traffic.
Most travellers come here for the fast boats to Gili Trawangan, Gili Air, Gili Meno and Lombok. Many of these boats leave in the morning, so check your boat time against your flight arrival before you book. If you land in the afternoon or evening, it is usually better to stay one night and take a boat the next day. Tell us your boat departure time and we will plan your pick-up with enough margin.
